Start your day warm and happy with this nourishing Ayurveda winter breakfast porridge recipe🥣😊

Winter is upon us! - what better way to start your day warm, happy and nourished then a lovely home made breakfast porridge!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa or millet

  • 1/2 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pistachios)

  • 1 tbsp raisins or chopped dates

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  • In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until warm.

  • Add the cooked quinoa or millet to the saucepan and stir well.

  • Add the cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom powder and mix well.

  • Continue to heat the mixture for a few minutes until it is warm and well combined.

  • Remove from heat and transfer the mixture to a serving bowl.

  • Sprinkle the chopped nuts and raisins or chopped dates on top of the mixture.

  • Drizzle with honey or maple syrup, if desired.
